I’m sitting here at my computer waiting to go push play on P90X Core Synergistics and I started to reflect and think about my past 8 years as a Beachbody customer and the past 5 years as a Beachbody Coach. Thinking about all the different tests I have gone through, how much adversity and negativity I pushed through to over come and achieve success and my goals. The one consistency among my fitness transformation is that is by no way linear. I am reminded of this daily as I continue to deal with my shoulder injury that occurred 3 years ago this past May. I sit here at my compute, just finished watching my homemade P90X transformation video.
My transformation and health is filled with ups and downs, with struggles and successes, with failures and rewards. Right now I’m in a valley. I’ve been in a valley for a while. I started to climb out of it with the Beachbody Ultimate Reset but every time I seem to see the light and get back on the path to success, my old injury comes knocking and knocks me down. It tests me constantly every day and every day I aim to do my best and to be better than the day before. However, not every day is a step forward. Some times it’s a 5 steps backwards but each day I do what Tony Horton teaches on the P90X DVD’s. To do my best, forget the rest and just show up.
My reflection today started because I launched a new community based blog that is currently in development. It is inspired by my past success but does not live or dwells in the past. I decided to stop trying to recreate old ideas but instead to listen to my heart. To listen my my geeky side and my passion. To reflect on what drove me to success with my fitness in the first place. That was leading a challenge group, and not just any challenge group but the 300 Challenge inspired by the Spartans from the movie 300.
I have a strong passion and big heart for Superheros (comics, cartoons, movies, etc). I decided to marry my past with my future and create an online community that aims to help others, including myself, to remain accountable and supported in the form of an online community. My online community is the Superhero Workout Nation. The blog is still in development but will be fully operational and the goal is to be as interactive and supportive as possible.
Success is never linear. We sometimes fall, and fall hard to learn from past mistakes. But only to pick yourself up, dust off the dirt and try, try again. Bring it!

Fantastic transformation Joe. You will inspire many more with your PMA and support.
It’s good to take time to reflect on your journey to know where you have come from and where you want to go. Good luck on your new blog! I look forward to checking it out when it launches.
Very inspiring…wonderful positive outlook!
An awesome transformation! Truly inspiring brother! I will be looking forward you super hero workout nation as well!
Great Story Bro! Amazing results I can see you pushed hard to get them. I also love super heroes. I think after seeing the avengers i would say Hulk is awesome!! lol he’s so sweet! even though he attacks the good guys sometimes he’s still a great guy.
Awesome results, Joe.
Such a great story. I wish you all the best.
Wow, this is great info. I love the picture, it tells the story so very powerful! Congrats on your transformation!
Great advice on staying course. Cool site as well!
I hear ya bro. I’m currently recovering from shoulder surgery and it is frustrating when you can’t do the things you’re used to. I’m going to begin a modified P90X/hiking program soon. Legs and no back, Yoga X, no down dog etc. Tough with one arm. All I can say is get it checked out and get it fixed or heal it up before it gets worse. I pushed through two rounds of P90X and half of X2 and tore up my shoulder worse.
Love that graph on success, so very true!
Great info here.
Great transformation and inspiring advice! thanks for this!
