I’ve been using Shakeology since it was launched at the Beachbody Coach Summit March, 2009. I was very skeptical of the shake but I’ve always trusted Beachbody and they never fail to produce high quality products. That’s just the case with Shakeology. This is the highest quality shake on the market. No herbicides, pesticides, chemicals, artificial flavors, just nature in a bag.
I have never used Shakeology as a meal replacement or a tool to lose weight. Instead I use it as a quick healthy meal on the go when I don’t have time to prepare, a nutritional supplement to get everything my body needs, or a delicious mid-morning or mid-day snack. But thank God for Shakeology because in May 2009 I suffered a major injury. I ruptured my Pec Tendon from my left arm. 
My extreme workouts from P90X and Tony Horton One-on-One were put on hold. I underwent surgery to reattach the tendon. During my recovery I moved home with my parents. At this time, my parents were not drinking Shakeology and they didn’t have the best food in the house. I was 185 and I did not want to gain weight. Since I wasn’t as active as I was before I used Shakeology to jump start my day and keep my caloric intake balanced and even with one arm in a sling, I could make my Shake in the morning.
I maintained my weight since my injury and I continue to rehab.
In November, 2009 I invited my family and friends to finally, officially take a look at all the Beachbody programs and product that have helped me over the years to lose weight, quit smoking and over come adversity. Most people want to try Shakeology, but are hesitant because of the price. However, if you use it as it’s supposed to be used, as meal replacement, it justifies the cost and actually saves you money. For example, I used to go out to breakfast every morning and stop and get a Medium Iced Coffee and Turkey Sausage Egg White Flat bread from Dunkin’ Donuts. This low calorie, processed meal that gave me a quick boost of energy (thanks caffeine) cost me $5.16 every time. Now, I use Shakeology to replace breakfast, which comes out to be about $4 a serving per day. So I’m actually saving money. That’s just looking at breakfast. What if you stopped or cut back eating out to lunch. Even at Subway were you can get a $5 foot long, how many calories are you consuming at the Eat Fresh Fast Food franchise? A 6 inch sub is $6. To me drinking Shakeology makes complete sense! I just finished my Shakeology a few minutes ago and I’ll be full for the next 2 to 3 hours until I’m ready for a small snack before lunch.
