Challenges for Fitness Goals

Hi Xman,
Nice to see you joining up with us and I hope this group will help you.  in outside sales and I don’t have any over nights because my territory doesn’t call for them but just to reiterate what Po said is when I did have to go on overnights for meeting (probably 2-3 times a year for 1-4 night) I would go to rent-a-center and rent a portable DVD player. They are like $30. I also had the resistance bands that I packed in my suitcases so I could do the weights.

If you can’t do the portable DVD thing I know people like Aaron(Airdog) who will take the P90X fitness book with him to the gym and just follow what’s written down. So there is that option. Traveling for work and be the biggest distraction from your fitness goal and it can be so easy to lose focus. You’re there for work, your surrounded by tons of others who don’t have the same plan as you, and you’re not home. All those things can be over come.

My big challenge in traveling is not the program it self, it is sticking to eating properly. During the meetings they offer all types of food and snacks that probably should be on a tier 6 of Michi’s ladder. So I try to pack my own snacks, protein bars, Ostrich Jerky (delicious), nuts. And for lunch and dinners I try and find the veggies, salads, and chicken. It can be done.

When I’m working normally that’s more of a challenge because I bring lunches to offices that I call on and the offices almost never want healthy (pizza, Mexican, pasta, Chinese) So I try to either eat before or simply try and ordering something I know has some value to my diet like a fruit tray, veggie tray or a couple of salads.

Keep up the great work. 40lbs is awesome!! Thanks for stopping by.

Joey
